A free print-ready monthly calendar for running a real med sync program. If your PMS does not have good sync calendar tools or you just want something you can tape on the wall, this is for you. Customize it for your pharmacy in about 30 seconds and print as many as you need.
A real med sync program runs on a predictable daily rhythm. Every working day your team runs through the same four tasks in the same order. The calendar above is a visual reminder of that rhythm so nothing gets missed.
On your chosen wholesale returns day (Wednesday by default), add one extra task: Wholesale Returns. Pull the items you are returning, generate the return documentation, and send them back with the delivery driver when they pick up the next order.
On the last wholesale returns day of the month, add one more task: Pull Outdates. Walk the shelves and pull anything that is expired or will expire before the next monthly cycle. Route these to your reverse distributor. This is how you avoid the classic independent pharmacy trap of discovering $8,000 of expired inventory all at once at year end.
Set your pharmacy name, pick the month you want, choose which day of the week you do wholesale returns, and mark any holidays or closed days using the day numbers. Click Generate Calendar to preview it. Click Print Calendar to print a clean landscape-oriented version with all the tasks laid out by day.
Print a new one at the start of every month and tape it behind the counter. Have your team check off each task as it is completed. At the end of the month, you will have a clear record of which days ran smoothly and which ones had gaps.
If your PMS has a good sync calendar that your team actually uses, use that. This tool is for the pharmacies whose PMS does not have a good option or whose team prefers a physical calendar on the wall. Paper calendars have two specific advantages over software calendars: they are visible to everyone in the pharmacy at all times, and they force the physical act of checking off a task which creates accountability that clicking a button never quite matches.
